My journey sort of evolved and was not planned. At Cummins, I first experienced the Customer side of things. After a few years I had an opportunity in engineering (designing and testing). It quickly became apparent that there was a lot of "stuff" that needed to occur inside the value stream between engineering new products and servicing those products. Out of desire to get better and perhaps some enjoyment, I worked to learn the "stuff" in between and planned for it. The better I did the more successful I was and over time it lead to my current role.

I don't actually remember. I know my first 6 classes were taught by Eric Hales.

How has CM2 been beneficial to your career growth?

I enjoy helping and seeing others (my team, friends, associates, etc) grow and be successful. To facilitate this, I have leaned heavily on the framework, methodology and the principles of CM2 to help Cummins and the people I interface with (inside and outside of Cummins). The biggest benefit has been the relationships developed with the people of IpX and all the professionals associated from other industries. Those interactions have helped me throughout my journey in immeasurable ways.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

Leadership Behaviors - Specifically (Engaging in constructive conflict)

Sort of dependent on whether or not we've met. I am an introvert that has learned to adapt to be extroverted when appropriate.

I have many (too many) hobbies/activities/etc. I like to help and do things for family, friends, acquaintances, etc.
