IPX Congress Member Profile

How did your career journey lead to change and configuration management?
As part of design engineering where most changes begin. I have been doing change and configuration management for almost 40 years in one form or another.

What was your introduction to CM2?
I found CM2, specifically the IpX website, while researching how to become a certified configuration manager. At the time, the only company that had a certification program that you can take online was IpX. Once I had taken the first two courses, I continued with the rest. It wasn't until course 4 and 5 before interacting one-on-one with Ray Wozny.

How has CM2 been beneficial to your career growth?
It has allowed me to expand how we go about informing, teaching, and developing other employees and our processes leading into PLM.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
Not applicable. I work daily on a multitude of professional skills. From leadership to listening, I strive to build skills continuously.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I am a past champion of ballroom dancing and have the world's most extensive collection of sad clown face paintings. Also, I am not really all that surprising.

What do you do for fun?
I look for small-batch medium to medium-dark roasted coffee from a single coffee grower while avoiding blend when practicable. I especially like Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ecuadorian coffees, grinding and brewing them with precision equipment. Always in search of that perfect cup of coffee. Recommendations are always welcome.
