Configuration Management Requirements for Defense Contracts
This three day course is used for understanding the methods for applying Configuration Management Requirements on Defense Contracts after being received and modified by the acquirer. Students will learn the basic Configuration Management (CM) principles per the document and CM's impact on quality, cost, and schedule.
Students will acquire the latest methods for planning, execution, and usage of various Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) and DID forms that define the datasets and tasks required of a supplier. IpX’s CM2 Baseline is the cross industry standard used for managing complex defense products. The CM2 Baseline within the unique DID specifically defines the data content, format, and intended structure.
Techniques and fundamental principles will be presented that demonstrate the best approach for managing contracts, or similar agreements, with suppliers and defense customers within various applications and regions.
