CM2-CORE and CM2-PRO certification holders can earn up to six (6) hours of undergraduate credit toward an eligible bachelor’s degree -OR- three (3) hours of graduate credit toward an eligible master’s degree from FHSU.

This collaboration is set to redefine the integration of academia and industry, focusing on driving sustainable growth and innovation.

Course registration comes with access to the IpX IDEA Academy, a library of additional IpX training and professional development curriculum. The CM2-CORE (courses 01-06) and CM2-PRO (courses 07-09) Certification Series enable your organization with a foundation of robust processes that are essential for design innovation, true manufacturing quality, serviceability and end-to-end traceability.  

The CM2-PRO certification must be achieved within the past 5 years to be eligible for credit*. IpX offers a recertification exam for students who wish to refresh their CM2-PRO certification. Students who achieve the CM2-CORE or CM2-PRO certifications are eligible for Credly badging, providing a digital credential to showcase their expertise.

*Credits can only be applied toward a single degree program. Credit cannot be awarded to non-degree-seeking students. Credit may only be awarded if the learner earned their CM2 certification within the last five (5) years; if earned beyond the last five years, certification holders must pass a recertification exam proctored by IpX to earn credit. All degree program admissions requirements apply.

Academic Credit and Certification Opportunities:

FHSU and IpX are proud to offer the following opportunities to students enrolled in existing programs, wanting to enroll into a degree program, and to professionals seeking continuing education credits towards certification programs.

Student Credit Allocation: 

  • Undergraduate Credits: CM2-CORE and CM2-PRO certification holders can earn up to six (6) hours of undergraduate credit toward an eligible bachelor’s degree from FHSU.

Credly Badging:

  • Students who achieve the CM2-CORE or CM2-PRO certifications are eligible for Credly badging, providing a digital credential to showcase their expertise.
