An integrated approach to the set of management and technical disciplines that combine to optimize system effectiveness, enhance project success and reduce risk.
This 5-day course is designed for individuals who will perform or manage significant engineering roles, whether formally recognized as systems engineers or not. Ideal for formal systems engineering training, the course introduces participants to the mindset and practices of systems engineering, providing actionable methods and a strong foundation for skill development through workplace application. Drawing on best practices from leading developer and supplier organizations, the course presents an integrated approach to optimizing system effectiveness, enhancing project success, and reducing risk. It focuses on achieving corporate objectives such as time to market, cost efficiency, product quality, and strategic goals. Participants will begin with basic systems thinking and progressively apply these concepts to more complex systems, culminating in hands-on workshops that cover all process areas. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques are emphasized throughout. Completion of this course can contribute 40 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward the INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) accreditation.
