About Dr. Rajogopal Raghunathan

Dr. Raj RaghunathanDr. Rajogopal Raghunathan is an award-winning professor and author of several books, including If You’re So Smart, Why Aren’t You Happy? His work has been cited in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Houston Chronicle, among others, and he’s been published in esteemed academic journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Marketing.

His breakthrough theories around human decision making and how it relates to happiness combine elements of behavioral psychology, decision theory, and marketing to try and understand the inner workings of consumer behavior. Dr. Raj is currently a professor of marketing at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
