In today's automotive engineering environment the product complexity continues to increase at a significant rate. Autonomous vehicles with inherent safety
ramifications are requiring tighter integration between requirements, software, electrical and mechanical systems. The challenge is to seamlessly integrate ALM and PLM systems to manage the digital thread and variant management of those products. This presentation elaborates the problem that GM is facing.

Jim has over 35 years of extensive product development experience in the realm of high volume, high quality embedded electronics systems for the automotive industry. He has vast program management experience launching complex automotive electronics systems. In addition, Jim has in depth knowledge of CM2 compliant Product Lifecycle Management(PLM) system requirements.
