CMPRO Earns Full Five Stars of the CMII Five Star Certification
DENVER, CO (Jan 4, 2017), - On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, CMPRO became the first CMII® licensed PLM solution provider to achieve the full five-star rating of the CMII Five Star Certification as defined in CMII-600. Their dedication to achieve a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTs) solution that is CMII Five Star Certified shows a commitment to their current and future customers that they are dedicated to supporting integrated process and product excellence.
Joseph Anderson, VP of Services, Institute of Configuration Management (ICM), commented, “I applaud the team at CMPRO for their dedication to provide a quality off the shelf solution. Stay tuned to CMPRO they are steadily working on the next transformational solution offering.”
"We are proud to accept the CMII Five-Star Certification,” said Professional Systems Associates, Inc., CEO, Moe Parker, “Maintaining a relationship with ICM has been strategically important to continue helping customers achieve integrated process excellence."
ICM revamped the CMII tool certification and licensing process in June 2016. The new process creates partnerships with businesses and enabling solution providers to ensure that their commercial off the shelf (COTS) product is truly ready for enterprise adoption. Solution providers must be licensed to utilize the CMII methodology, and the software solution (by version) must be certified by ICM to be deemed as CMII compliant.
In addition, ICM has developed functional specifications for clients to utilize. These specifications will help reduce business user adoption concerns, change and development cycle times, configuration and customization costs, design defects, and overall project schedules.
Solutions such as (but not limited to) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), are assessed against the requirements in CMII-500. The objective is to help solution providers understand the technical and process gaps, their relative significance and the appropriate resolution.
